Common Projects is a premium sneaker collection designed by Flavio girolami and Prathan Poopat, born from the desire to create the perfect sneaker. Their minimal lines and flat surfaces have inspired a cult following, with their only visible branding a signature series stamp in gold foil on the outer heel. Over the last decade, the Common Projects range has increased to include hi-tops and slip-on sneakers, combat boots and lace-up derbies, all imbued with the pure design principles and high quality workmanship that the designers stand for. Designer collaborations have firmly cemented the place of Common Projects in the high-end streetwear market, with previous partnerships including Patrik Ervell, Tim Coppens, and Robert geller.
Recalling fond memories of Thailand on vacation, Prathan and Flavio chose a sleek, lustrous watersnake skin to decorate the upper of this limited edition “Achilles” hi-top design, in a nod to the black snakes Prathan has seen while exploring the lush tropical orchards around Bangkok. Made in Italy, the sneakers are inspired by traditional basketball shoes, with a rounded toe, rubber sole and eight eyelet construction. This style complements the white snake design created for the 2013 Cabinet de Curiosités, and is surely their most luxurious and elegant edition to date.
