Claudia de Pablo Vicens grew up on the Mediterranean surrounded by the smells of orange blossoms, olive trees, and the sea. As an adult travelling the world, she searched in vain for her ideal scent before beginning to mix her own from the pure essences and oils she had collected over the years. Her customised creations for friends and family evolved into Tramuntana, the online bespoke fragrance service she now runs from New York City; a unique process that involves building a personal fragrance moodboard for each client in order to imbue each formula with the perfect ingredients to suit their lifestyle and personality. Each Tramuntana bespoke fragrance evolves from Claudia’s exclusive base scent; a rare Indian musk, with jasmine, sandalwood and patchouli, evoking the intimate and carnal properties of clean, warm skin.

Her “Hay” candle and room spray invoke the memory of wet grass after a summer rain, with notes of pure citrus, woods and florals. Each soy wax candle is poured into a white glazed ceramic vase cast off the coast of Spain and features three cotton wicks for a burning time of 60 hours. The 50ml “eau de parfum” features a matching ceramic lid and a moulded glass bottle.
